Pablo Escobar Wanted to Kidnap Michael Jackson

Pablo Escobar had a plan to kidnap Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson, was at his peak in the 90s, surrounded by celebrities and famous personalities. Juan Sebastian Marroquin, the son of Pablo Escobar, was a huge fan of Michael Jackson. One day, he suggested to his father the idea of bringing Michael Jackson to perform at the football stadium near their house. The idea resonated so much with Pablo Escobar that he initiated the necessary procedures to cover the expenses of the show and bring Michael Jackson to Colombia.

However, the plan was not just about enjoying his music. It involved kidnapping Michael Jackson after the show and demanding a sum of $60 million. Pablo Escobar’s intention was to get a lot of attention in the media again. Luckily, this kidnapping plan never happened. That same year, the Colombian government seized “Hacienda Napoles” after a legal fight, stopping Escobar’s plans. Thankfully, this never happened, and honestly, I’m not sure if Michael would have even accepted the invitation.

Pablo Escobar died on December 2nd, 1993.
