The main figures in the documentary “Leaving Neverland,” who claim to be victims of Michael Jackson, are asking for a private financial settlement. They are worried about facing a trial.
In 2019, ten years after Michael Jackson’s death, the documentary “Leaving Neverland” was released. In it, two of Jackson’s former friends, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, made shocking allegations of sexual abuse by the pop star. However, the documentary’s credibility has been questioned by fans, some members of the public, and judges in several trials.
Despite Robson and Safechuck’s many failed attempts to sue, Californian legislation now allows them to seek justice through trials against Michael Jackson’s estate and his heirs. These trials could potentially be filmed for “Leaving Neverland 2.” It’s worth noting that Robson and Safechuck have threatened to release the 1993 police photos of Michael Jackson’s private parts, taken during the Chandler case investigation. However, as the trials have progressed, the “Leaving Neverland” situation has highlighted not only the complexity of finding the truth amid fame and controversy but also the fragility of accusations when subjected to legal scrutiny.
In this case, reality has surpassed fiction, revealing the hidden motivations behind a story that has shocked the world. Two individuals who initially presented themselves as truth seekers now seem more focused on protecting their financial interests. This behavior not only questions their credibility but also disrespects the real victims of child sexual abuse.
According to JD Romero in his article on elespanol.com, Wade Robson and James Safechuck admitted in a legal statement to Michael Jackson’s lawyer that they are interested in obtaining a large financial compensation and avoiding a public trial.
Now, many people, especially Michael Jackson fans, hope that Robson and Safechuck will simply apologize for the damage caused to the image of an artist who is no longer here to defend himself.
I think that these two scammers have hurt the Jackson family too much already with their lies and they should be ashamed of themselves to say anything false against such a sweet and forever loved soul like Michael Jackson.
Well said Bev … and i second what Bev says in her comment above … Michael has never deserved any of the horrific allegations that has been said about him.
Defamation and/or slandering is illegal still in California correct? In our country? Does nobody care about our constitution any more?
“The legal terms for defamation are libel (for written statements) and slander (for spoken statements).”
Famous or not isn’t there laws to protect people still especially at this extent that has happened to Michael Jackson and his family?
Wake up people!
We all know the truth!
The facts are in Michael’s favor, they always have been.
Someone who has the proper credentials and the authority needs to take a stand and end this nonsense once and for all.
Shame on all you greedy, terrible people that have the power to make a change, yet you don’t!
It’s no wonder that our states especially California, is the way it is right now.
This could be your child going through this all these years and even after they’ve passed!
Mind boggling for sure!
Stop this!
“We the people,” need to wake up, stand up and do better!”
